'Cause We Never Had A Plan

'Cause We Never Had A Plan
sung to the tune of "If I Only Had A Brain," by Ray Bolger and Judy Garland from "The Wizard of Oz."

We can while away the hours, stonewallin’ those in power
Ignorin’ who we can
And their heads they’ll be scratchin’
While the hole we’re still not patchin’
‘Cause we never had a plan

We will honor every cla-im, regardless of how l-ame
Despite financial pain
But when fanfare starts fadin’
Promises we’ll be evadin’
‘Cause we never had a plan

Oh, we’d have saved the sea, and not have spoiled the shore
If we had not skipped safety rules anymore
Regarded laws, like ne’re before

But we didn’t care for nothin’, ‘cept our pockets a-stuffin’
Profitin’ where we can
So we’ll just keep enjoyin’ while the ocean we’re destroyin’
‘Cause we never had a plan

Get BP

Get BP
sung to the tune of "Let It Be" by the Beatles

As I find I’m in financial trouble
My lawyer and I agree
We should file a lawsuit
Get BP

And in my junk e-mailbox
Messages appear in front of me
Offering me lawsuits
Get BP
Get BP, Get BP
Get BP, Get BP
Filing multiple claims
Get BP

And when the bipartisan people
Need a common enemy
BP is the answer, Get BP

For though their parties differ
There’s no better chance that they will see
A cause to unite them, than BP

Get BP, Get BP
Get BP, Get BP
Yeah, join in all the boycotts,
Get BP

Get Bp, Get Bp
Get BP, Yeah get BP
Count up all your losses
Get BP

Get BP, Get BP
Get BP, Yeah get BP
Join class-action lawsuits
Get BP

And since the sea is oily
There’s a new bright light of hope for me
Twenty billion escrow fund for me

I wake up to the sound of protests
People angry at BP
Speaking dissolution
Get BP

Yeah get BP, Get BP
Get BP, Yeah get BP
Suing is the answer
Get BP

Get BP, Get BP
Get BP, Yeah get BP
There’ll be litigation
Get BP

Get BP, Get BP
Get BP, Yeah get BP
Seek full compensation
Get BP

The Day The Oil Rig Died

The Day The Oil Rig Died
sung to the tune of "American Pie" by Don McLean

A long, long time ago...
On the Gulf Coast shoreline
The white beaches used to stretch for miles.
And business owners had a chance
And tourists came there for romance
And it was full of life and people smiled.

But in the Gulf BP was drilling
With greedy hopes they’d make a killing.
There they drilled a deep well
Too bad it was a cheap well

Though later guilt would be denied
When the work went slow they did decide
To act to pick up the stride
And this is what they cried

“Oh why, why has so much time gone by?
Tell those bastards to work faster and they’d better comply
We’ll get rich quick if procedures don’t apply
You know, this should be a gravy-train ride
This should be a gravy-train ride.”

And so they picked up their speed
Driven by their insatiable greed
Soon the cash would start to flow
As they were getting near their goal
They forewent sealing up the hole
‘Cause doing it right would have been too slow

So corners were cut, expenses trimmed
‘Cause to take time would make profits slim
The oil started through
But then one day the oil rig blew

So now the beaches are covered with muck
With some sick pelicans and some oily ducks
The whole Gulf Coast was out of luck
The day the oil rig died.

And now we’re asking
Why, why did BP not comply?
Rules were broken, lies were spoken, and eleven men died
And their stocks have dropped, their reputation is fried
And the oil spill has spread far and wide
Oil now has spread far and wide

Now for some time, the oil spill has grown
For how long seems to remain unknown
But oil spills aren’t new for BP
Then the CEO appeared on the scene
In a fifty million buck smokescreen
And a voice that gave false guarantees

Oh and while the sea was turning brown
BP spread dispersant around
The oil was dispersed
Now marine life is cursed
And while lawyers started gath’ring facts
The booms didn’t hold the oil back
And beaches started turning black
When the CEO lied

We’re still asking
Why, why did BP not comply?
Rules were broken, lies were spoken, and eleven men died
And their stocks have dropped, their reputation is fried
And the oil spill has spread far and wide
Oil now has spread far and wide

Helter Skelter in the summer swelter
Cleanup workers fall ill with no shelter
Heat indexes rising fast
The oil is fouling the marsh grass
Destroyed by oil it is shrinking fast
While the Chairman keeps hoping that all will pass

Now the Gulf Coast air is cloaked in doom
While the burning oil makes toxic fumes
We decided to sell
Oh, but the housing values fell
And as months go by with no resolve
Obama finally gets involved
Will BP finally get dissolved
When Hayward testifies?

And we’re still asking
Why, why did BP not comply?
Rules were broken, lies were spoken, and eleven men died
And their stocks have dropped, their reputation is fried
And the oil spill has spread far and wide
Oil now has spread far and wide

Oh and so Congress called in to speak
BP’s CEO, looking meek
Just wanting his life back again
They said for centralizers, twenty-one
Your crew said just six and we’re done
So, please explain this to us if you can

Oh , and as we watched him in his chair
He calmly said, “I wasn’t there.
I didn’t work at the well
There’s nothing I can tell.”
And as the Representatives him grilled
CEO Hayward remained chilled
With no care for all that he had killed
The day he testified

He was thinking
"My, my, how these Yanks love to cry
They still need us so won’t bleed us
‘Til we’re completely dry
On contributions I can always rely
I just know, I can always buy an ally
I can always buy an ally."

I met a girl who cleaned the goo
And I smiled and asked her, “Hey, what’s new?”
She flipped me off and just went
I went down to the Gulf Coast shore
Where I’d seen lots of girls years before
But the Coast Guard said they’d all left from the scent

And in the oil pelicans screamed
The dolphins cried out in pain extreme
Some sea-turtles were choking
And all the fish were croaking
And the seafood I had eaten most
Could not be served, ‘cause the catch was gross
I guess I’ll have to eat pot-roast
Because the oil rig died

And we’re still asking
Why, why did BP not comply?
Rules were broken, lies were spoken, and eleven men died
And their stocks have dropped, their reputation is fried
And the oil spill has spread far and wide
Oil now has spread far and wide

We’re still asking
Why, why did BP not comply?
Rules were broken, lies were spoken, and eleven men died
And their stocks have dropped, their reputation is fried
And the oil spill has spread far and wide
Oil now has spread far and wide

Great Job BP!

Great Job BP
sung to the tune of the "Spongebob Squarepants" theme song

Are ye dead yet fish?
We’ll die BP
We can’t hear you!
We’ll die BP!

Ohhhhhh,
They’re pumping crude oil straight into the sea
Great job BP!
And causing a colossal catastrophe
Great job BP!
If white sandy beaches are things you hold dear
Great job BP!
Then come to the coast and clean for a year
Great job BP!

Great job BP!

Great job, BP!

Oil in the Water

Oil in the Water
sung to the tune of "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple

BP leased Deep Horizon
Off Louisiana’s shoreline
To make money with an oil rig
They didn’t have much time
Inspectors from the US
Were coaxed not to snoop around
‘Til some stupid methane bubble
Burned the rig right on down
Smoke on the water, fire in the sky, smoke on the water

It blew up the oi-l rig
It died with an awful sound
Executives were all starting to pout
Profits soon would go down
When the rig went under
The oil flowed at an awful pace
T’wards the coast the spill spread out
BP’s response was a disgrace
Oil in the water, BP’s gonna fry, oil in the water

It ended up on the Florida Coast
It’s now empty, dark and bare
But with the flowing Gulf Stream taking the spill
It’s not gonna stop there
With a slew of suits and heat from the feds
BP began to sweat
No matter what they get out of this
I know, I know they'll never forget
Cash from their pockets, Hayward’s gonna cry, life down the toilet

Oil in the water, BP’s gonna fry, oil in the water

Made It Black

Made It Black
sung to the tune of "Paint It Black" by the Rolling Stones

We had a white beach but BP has made it black
No blue sea anymore, the water’s all turned black
I see the pelicans caked with thick films of crude
They cannot lift their heads nor wings, they’re really screwed

I see a line of tar balls they’re all dripping black
The tourists have all left, they’re never coming back
I see people hit the beach and quickly turn away
From the smell of petrol mixed with the stench of decay

I step inside the water and my feet turn black
I cannot see my toes because the water’s black
Maybe it’ll fade away and BP can have some slack
It’s not easy facing up when you want your life back

No more will the green sea go turn a deeper blue
I can foresee the coast forever caked in goo

If I look out to sea into the setting sun
I see a whale who’ll die before the morning comes

I see a dolphin struggling to breath in the black
I see another one lifeless upon its back
I see some fish float by all dead I must suppose
How long can this go on? I guess that no one knows

Hmm, hmm, hmm…………………

The whole damn coast is tainted, tainted black
Black as oil, black as coal
I wanna see BP blotted out from the earth
I wanna see ‘em never, never, never coming back
Yeah!

Deepwater Horizon

Deepwater Horizon
sung to the tune of "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul & Mary

Deepwater Horizon drilled in the sea
It ran behind, BP was pissed, and so they ignored safety
BP’s corporate HQ loved that deep sea oil
It brought them cash and big mansions and other lavish spoils. Oh!

Deepwater Horizon drilled in the sea
It ran behind, BP was pissed, and so they ignored safety
Deepwater Horizon drilled in the sea
It ran behind, BP was pissed, and so they ignored safety

One mile ‘neath the surface, they did drill their deep sea well
They ignored the guidelines and said everything is swell
MMA Inspectors were bought whene’er they came
Hunting trips and sports tickets were all part of the game. Oh!

Deepwater Horizon drilled in the sea
It ran behind, BP was pissed, and so they ignored safety
Deepwater Horizon drilled in the sea
It ran behind, BP was pissed, and so they ignored safety

Big Oil Firms live forever, but not so those employed
Big troubles from gas bubbles cause rigs to be destroyed
One sad morn it happened, Deep Horizon was no more
Engulfed in a great fireball, it went down with a roar

BP was deep in sorrow, cash went down the drain
Fifty million dollars for a failed PR campaign
Without a shutoff valve, oil flowed ‘neath the waves
And eleven poor workers sadly sunk down to their graves. Oh!

Deepwater Horizon drilled in the sea
It ran behind, BP was pissed, and so they ignored safety
Deepwater Horizon drilled in the sea
It ran behind, BP was pissed, and so they ignored safety

Gulf's No Longer Clean

Gulf's No Longer Clean
sung to the tune of "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles

Fifty miles from the shore
Stood a rig upon the sea
And the oil there was rife
‘Til it blew to smithereens

Now the deep sea drilling’s done
And BP lost lots of green
Nothing lives beneath the waves
‘Cause the Gulf’s no longer clean

Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
Used to be pristine, now it’s just obscene
Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
A normal routine cannot be foreseen

And the oil flows and pours
Slim chance the coast can be restored
And BP begins to pay

Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
Oil can be seen nearing New Orleans
Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
Sad that the marine life is now unseen

{PR campaign Mr. Hayward, PR campaign
PR campaign it is McKay

Svanberg, Svanberg}

Yes they lived a life of ease
The executives had all they need
(All of them, had all they need)
‘Til their rig sunk from the scene
(“Til the rig sunk from the scene)
And their profits now are lean

Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
Used to be pristine, now it’s just obscene
Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
A normal routine cannot be foreseen

Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
Oil can be seen nearing New Orleans
Nothing lives where the Gulf’s no longer clean
Sad that the marine life is now unseen

Oil Flow

Oil Flow
sung to the tune of "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys

New Orleans, Biloxi, the whole coast is toxic
From the Delta, Mobile Bay, white beaches turning gray
Port Sulphur, Port Saint Joe, no place this spill can’t go
Havana

Off the Florida Keys
In the Gulf of Mexico
That's where the oil flows, to the frustration of all

Bodies floating by
Dolphins and birds, fish and octopi
They’re all covered in oil
And it’s obvious that they’ll all die
In BP’s oil flow

New Orleans, Biloxi, the whole coast is toxic
From the Delta, Mobile Bay, white beaches turning gray
Port Sulphur, Port Saint Joe, no place this spill can’t go

Everything is dying in BP’s oil flow
It pours out fast
From way deep down below
What we all wanna know
Is when they’ll stop the flow

To Tampa Bay, how much will BP pay?

They’ve defiled the sea
It’s filling up with Texas Tea
‘Cause they tried to get by, with little care for saf-e-ty

BP’s CEO
Says this has caused him woe
“I’d like my life back.” He cried
Nice after eleven men had died
When BP’s rig did blow

New Orleans, Biloxi, the whole coast is toxic
From the Delta, Mobile Bay, white beaches turning gray
Port Sulphur, Port Saint Joe, no place this spill can’t go

Everything is dying in BP’s oil flow
It pours out fast
From way deep down below
What we all wanna know
Is when they’ll stop the flow

Miami Beach, how far can this spill reach?

Everybody knows
How rich must be their CEO
He’s just rolling in dough
And he’d like to keep it all
Despite the oil flow

New Orleans, Biloxi, the whole coast is toxic
From the Delta, Mobile Bay, white beaches turning gray
Port Sulphur, Port Saint Joe, no place this spill can’t go

Everything is dying in BP’s oil flow
It pours out fast
From way deep down below
What we all wanna know
Is when they’ll stop the flow

New Orleans, Biloxi, the whole coast is toxic
From the Delta, Mobile Bay, white beaches turning gray
Port Sulphur, Port Saint Joe, no place this spill can’t go

Everything is dying in BP’s oil flow

Deep Horizon Oil Rig of BP

Deep Horizon Oil Rig of BP
sung to the tune of "Octopus's Garden" by The Beatles

Way out at sea, there used to be
The Deep Horizon Oil Rig of BP
Deadlines had passed, the crew worked fast
On the Deep Horizon Oil Rig of BP

They needed time to do things right
But BP whined and put up a fight
They said we’ll be fine you will see
On the Deep Horizon Oil Rig of BP.

There’ll be no glitch, we will be rich
Said BP’s executives across the sea
Counting our cash, will be a smash
And we’ll live like kings the way that life should be

They did sing and dance around
‘Til the rig blew up and went down
Beneath the sea, amid debris
Sunk the Deep Horizon Oil Rig of BP

The crew did shout and swim about
But eleven men went down to their graves
(Went down to their watery graves)
No more joy for some poor girls and boys
Knowing their dad’s beneath the waves
(Dad’s beneath the waves)

Now BP’s unhappy and they see
Their profits from the lawsuits they can’t save
And in the sea, catastrophe
From the Deep Horizon Oil Rig ‘neath the waves.

Under The Sea

Under The Sea

sung to the tune of "Under The Sea" by Sebastian the Crab in Disney's "Little Mermaid."

The seaweed used to be cleaner

Before BP’s dumb mistake

Their oil rig just blew-up there

Inspectors were on the take

Now look at the world around us

Right here on the ocean floor

Unlimited sludge surround us

Can’t see nothin’ here no more.

Under the sea

Under the sea

Each day it’s thicker

Making us sicker

We hate BP!

Up on the shore they work all day

Trying to clean tar-balls away

While we devotin'

Full time to floatin'

In misery

BP CEO ain’t happy

Shareholders he must console

And Coast Guard says, ‘Make it snappy

And plug up that bloody hole!’

But CEO, he is lucky

No chance he’ll suffer the fate

Of those who have lost their business

His assets are far too great

Under the sea

Under the sea

No more they beat us

Fry us and eat us

Now we’re deadly

We what the land folks used to cook

Now we be coated with black gook

No fish they fryin’

‘Cause we all dyin’

Under the sea

Under the sea

Under the sea

Under the sea

We still deplorin’

How oil keep pourin’

Excessively

Even the sturgeon an' the ray

Floatin’ belly-up everyday

Those BP bastards

Caused a disastrous

Catastrophe

The shrimp all went limp

The trout dropping out

The cod feelin’ odd

Their lives be in doubt

The bass died, alas

The chub, he got scrubbed

The fluke he puke on the sole

(Yeah)

The ray passed away

Got stuck in the muck

The crab feelin’ drab

We just got no luck

Pelican and gull

They not faring well

An' oh that blowfish woe

(Yeah)

Under the sea

Under the sea

When the sardine

Begin to look green

It just sickens me

What’s BP got?

A lot of dough?

Here they givin' us nothin' but woe

Each little clam here

Know that they’re damned here

Under the sea

Each little bird here

Sad this occurred here

Under the sea

Each little snail here

Cry and they wail here

That's ‘cause we’re dyin’

Here in the brine

We got no luck here

Down in the muck here

Under the sea
